The verse
भोळे भाविक हे जुनाट चांगले । होय तैसें केलें भक्तिभावें ॥१॥
म्हणउनि चिंता नाहीं आम्हां दासां । न भ्यो गर्भवासा जन्म घेतां ॥ध्रु.॥
आपुलिया इच्छा करूं गदारोळ । भोगूं सर्वकाळ सर्व सुखें ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे आम्हां देवाचा सांगात । नाहीं विसंबत येर येरां ॥३॥
Literal translation
Bhōḷē-bhāvika-junāṭa-good — bhakti-bhāva-makes-it-so. No-chinta-for-dāsas — no-fear-garbha-vāsa. Iccha-gadarōḷa — sarva-kāḷa-sarva-sukha. Tukā: Deva's-sāngāta — never-visambata-each-other.
What it means
A 3-verse bhāvika-confidence text. Simple-minded faithful are the time-honored good — by their devotion-feeling, (the Lord) makes (whatever they have) just-so. Therefore we servants have no anxiety; we don't fear the womb-residence when taking birth. With our own will, we make joyous-noise; we enjoy all-joy at all-times. Tukā says: we have Deva's companionship — we never abandon each other. Pair with 4205 (births-of-any-caste-acceptable-if-Name-stays), 3396 (anti-mukti-pro-rebirth-for-prēma).
For someone today
Tukaram says that simple, sincere faith has always been reliably good, since it is exactly that devotion which makes things turn out well. Because of this, he and other devotees carry no real anxiety, they are not even afraid of being born again into the world, since they trust they will be looked after. Free from that fear, they can raise a joyful, unrestrained noise and enjoy life fully at every moment instead of holding back. Tukaram ends by saying that he and God keep each other's company always, and neither one ever walks away from the other.
मराठी: तुकाराम म्हणतात, साधी, प्रामाणिक श्रद्धा नेहमीच खरोखर चांगली ठरलेली आहे, कारण त्याच भक्तिभावामुळे गोष्टी योग्य वळणावर जातात. त्यामुळे त्यांना आणि इतर भक्तांना खरी काळजी वाटत नाही, पुन्हा जन्म घ्यावा लागला तरी त्यांना भीती वाटत नाही, कारण आपली काळजी घेतली जाईल याची त्यांना खात्री असते. या भीतीतून मुक्त झाल्यामुळे ते मनमोकळेपणाने आनंदाचा गजर करू शकतात आणि प्रत्येक क्षणी जीवनाचा पुरेपूर आनंद घेऊ शकतात, आवरून धरण्याऐवजी. तुकाराम शेवटी म्हणतात, आपण आणि देव नेहमी एकमेकांची सोबत करतो, आणि कधीच एकमेकांना सोडून जात नाही.
