Krishna was born in Gokul — the wicked got the tremor. When Krishna's avatar happens, joy fills every house. They sing the prema-name from the mouth, dance always in joy. Tuka says: faults are removed; the joyful shout rises.

कृष्ण गोकुळीं जन्मला । दुष्टां चळकांप सुटला ॥१॥ होतां कृष्णाचा अवतार । आनंद करिती घरोघर ॥ध्रु.॥ प्रेम नाम वाचें गाती । सदा आनंदें नाचती ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे हरती दोष । आनंदानें करिती घोष ॥३॥

Krishna was born in Gokul — tremor was released on the wicked. When Krishna's avatar happens, they make joy in every house. They sing the prema-name from the mouth — they dance always in joy. Tuka says: faults are taken-away; in joy they make the loud-shout.

A Krishna-janma abhang — celebrating the birth of Krishna in Gokul. Standard gokulāṣṭami festival mood:
- दुष्टां चळकांप सुटला — the wicked got tremor. When the avatar arrives, the unrighteous feel a structural-instability. The arrival of one kind of being destabilizes the opposite kind.
- घरोघर आनंद — joy in every house. Not just in the temple, not just in the palace — every house. The celebration is demotic.
- प्रेम नाम वाचें गाती — singing the prema-name from the mouth. The form of the celebration is vocal; the name is sung. (Specifically prema-nāma — the love-name, signaling that the singing is from-affection, not from-discipline.)
- सदा आनंदें नाचती — dancing always in joy. The bodily form: dancing.
- हरती दोष — आनंदानें करिती घोष — faults taken away in the loud-shout of joy. The doṣa-hāra (fault-removal) happens via the ānanda-ghoṣa. The shout itself is the cleansing-mechanism. [T]
For someone today
This abhang names what real celebration looks like. It has a voice — singing the beloved's name out loud. It has a body — dancing. It spreads everywhere — filling every house, not just some official venue. And it's loud — a full-throated shout, not a murmur.
Two things happen at the same time as this celebration: the wicked tremble, not because anyone attacked them, but simply because the arrival of something good destabilizes what's unrighteous. And faults are washed away by the celebration itself, without needing a separate act of purification.
For today: when something genuinely good arrives in your life — a child is born, a beloved arrives, a real teaching lands, a recovery is confirmed — the right response is to celebrate with your voice, your body, everywhere, and loudly. The celebration itself will take care of what needs cleansing and unsettle whatever was working against you. Don't hold the celebration back to deal with problems separately first.
