Literal translation
A 9-verse yamak-bandha — rain-stopped + Gokul-folks-come-outside-celebrate / Govinda-known-saca-bhāve / dance-sing-mangalas-gītas / Rāma-Krṣṇa-gītas-Gopāḷas-flutes / vatsas-cows-paśu-dance-vēdhalī-Govinda's-chhanda / chitti-vēdhi-by-Govinda — no-one-more-blessed / akhaṇḍa-sangāta-of-Govinda / Tukā: sang-of-Govinda = dhyāna — Gokul-folks = Govinda.
What it means
A 9-verse yamak-bandha — celebrating the end-of-stone-rain + universal-Gokul-celebration. Notable details: (a) cows-vatsas-paśu-themselves dance with-Govinda-vēdhi — non-human-bhakti, (b) Gopāḷas-play-flutes-mohōrī-pāvē, (c) the closing identification: gōvimda tē jana gōkuḷīmchē — the people of Gokul are themselves Govinda — radical-Vārkarī non-dual claim that bhaktas-fully-become-the-Lord-they-worship. Pair with 4546 (Govardhana-finale), 4547 (preceding aftermath), 4554 (Indra-arrives).
For someone today
When the danger finally passed, the whole village poured outside in pure delight, singing and dancing to celebrate Govinda together. Even the cows and calves and animals danced, caught up in his rhythm, showing that this joy wasn't limited to humans alone. Tukaram says no one is more fortunate than the one whose heart is captured by God, held in his unbroken company. In the end he makes the boldest claim of all: the people of Gokul, so united with Govinda, have themselves become Govinda.
Where this applies
- Tukārām's rain-stopped + Gokul-celebration + Gokul-folk = Govinda-themselves canonical
