The opening-stance: we gāūm (sing), vāūm ṭāḷī (clap), nācōm udāsa (dance detached) in the ranga (kīrtana-arena); abandoning bhaya (fear), lajjā (shame), śankā (doubt); the āsa (hope/clinging) becomes nirāsa (despair / its-own-cessation).
