With God as protector from behind and indweller within, a devotee has nothing to fear, so sing with joy and stop worrying about proving your faith in words.
The verse
पाटीं पोटीं देव । कैचा हरिदासां भेव ॥१॥ करा आनंदें कीर्तन । नका आशंकितमन ॥ध्रु.॥ एथें कोठें काळ । करील देवापाशीं बळ ॥२॥ तुका म्हणे धनी । सपुरता काय वाणी ॥३॥
Literal translation
Pāṭa-pōṭa — deva — kaicā — Hari-dāsām-bhēva? Do — ānanda — kīrtana — no — āśankita-mana. Here — where — kāḷa — exert baḷa near deva? Tuka says: dhanī — sa-puratā — what vāṇī?

A deva-on-back-deva-in-belly-no-fear-for-Hari-dāsas-kīrtana-with-ānanda-master-suffices abhang. Hari-dāsa-no-fear register. Three claims:

Deva on thepāṭa(back — i.e., as the one-who-stands-behind, the protector) and deva in thepōṭa(belly — i.e., as the inner-life-force, the indweller); whatbhēva(fear) forHari-dāsas?. For someone today
You are protected from behind and filled from within; there is nothing left for a devoted heart to be afraid of. Sing and celebrate freely, without that nagging worried mind, because whatever you fear, even death itself, has no power in the presence of the divine. And you do not need to keep proving or explaining your faith with words; God is already whole and complete, and that is enough.
