Abhanga 2330

English: The servant must do the Master's word — no hesitation/trick should come of him.

When you'd assert servant-does-Master's-word + firefly-vs-sun + Lord-ocean-of-jñāna — sēvakē-svāmīchē-vachana-hunatūmpaṇa; jīva-paratē-bhangaliyā-chittī-sāndī; khadyōta-ravī-vāṭa-āpulēm-nīṭa-usantāvē; jñānāchā-sāgara-agara-bhijōm-bhēdē

The verse

Literal translation

English: The servant must do the Master's word — no hesitation/trick should come of him. Will take the jīva or push away — if chitta is broken, people [break] the corner. How can the firefly show the sun's path — clean own [path]. Tuka says: he is the ocean of jñāna — but doesn't allow the bridge to get wet by bhēda.
