Abhanga 3213
God doesn't need material offerings, only sincere feeling, because God already knows exactly what's inside your heart.
When you're offering something material instead of your honest attention or feeling.
When you perform devotion or kindness for appearance rather than because you mean it.
When you assume no one can see the sincerity or lack of it behind your actions.
The verse
शक्ती द्याव्या देवा । नाहीं पदार्थी सेवा ॥१॥
मुख्य आहे ऐसा धर्म । जाणते हो जाणा वर्म ॥ध्रु.॥
मना पोटीं देव । जाणे जैसा तैसा भाव ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे सोसें । लागे लाविल्याचें पिसें ॥३॥
Literal translation
Give-strength-Deva; no-padārtha-sevā. Mukhya-dharma — know-the-varma. In-mana-pōṭa, Deva-knows-bhāva. Tukā: by-sōsa, attached-becomes-pisa.

A 3-verse bhakti-essence text. Sevā-is-bhāva, not-material; Deva-knows-the-inner-state.
