The verse
मागत्याची कोठें घडते निरास । लेंकरा उदास नाहीं होतें ॥१॥
कासया मी होऊं उतावीळ जीवीं । जाणता गोसावी सर्व आहे ॥ध्रु.॥
जाला तरी वेळ कवतुकासाटीं । निर्दया तों पोटीं उपजेना ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे त्यासी ठाउकें उचित । होईंल संकेत नेमियेला ॥३॥
Literal translation
Where-does-nirāsa-happen-for-asker — mother-doesn't-udāsa-for-lēnkara. Why-utāvīḷa — Gōsāvī-knows-all. If-delay — for-kavatuka — nir-dayā-doesn't-arise-in-pōṭa. Tukā: uchita-known — sankēta-will-happen.
What it means
A 3-verse patience-text. The asker never meets despair; the mother doesn't grow indifferent to her child. Why be impatient? — the Master knows all. If there's a delay, it's the charming-sport; mercilessness doesn't arise in his belly. He knows what's right; the appointed sign will happen.
