Tukārām's bhaya-in-egotism; whole-country-our-own-no-Kāḷa-lēśa; jīṇa-sukhāchē canonical
The verse
भय होतें आम्हीपणें । पाठी येणें घातलें ॥१॥
अवघा आपुला चि देश । काळा लेश उरे चि ना ॥ध्रु.॥
समर्थाचें नाम घेतां । मग चिंता काशाची ॥२॥
तुका म्हणें नारायणें । जालें जिणें सुखाचें ॥३॥
Literal translation
Bhaya-came-in-āmhī-paṇa — cast-on-pāṭhī. Whole-country-āpulā-chi — no-lēśa-of-Kāḷa. Taking-samartha-nāma — no-chintā. Tukā: Nārāyaṇa-jīṇa-sukhāchē.
What it means
A 3-verse fearless-text. Fear came along with my ego-sense — they cast it on my back. The whole country is now my own — not a trace of Kāḷa remains. When I take the samartha's Name, what worry? By Nārāyaṇa, life became full-of-sukha.
